Kirkcaldy v Ayr Ladies preview

Ayr Ladies have their second away fixture in a row of the 2015/16 BT Women's National League Division 1, as they visit Kirkcaldy on Sunday.

They kicked off the new season last weekend with a hard-fought 17-10 win against Watsonians at Myreside, scoring three tries.  Kirkcaldy, however, did not play last Sunday, and will no doubt will be keen to get their league campaign started with a strong performance at home.

Ayr Ladies were boosted last week by the return of their young back Emily Irving after a lengthy period on the sidelines with injury, and she starts again at scrum-half.  The dynamic back row of Ashleigh Nelson, Jackie O'Neil and Lynda Morgan, who opened the scoring against Watsonians, will be looking to cause Kirkcaldy all kinds of trouble.

The squad continues to develop and expand, and there will be some new faces for fans to see in action when Ayr Ladies have their first home game of the season against Aberdeenshire Quines at Millbrae on Sunday 20th September.
