As well as the 1st and 2nd XVs having their first home league matches on Saturday, Robbie Fergusson and Pat MacArthur have been named in Glasgow Warriors' squad for their opening match of the Pro12 at Scotstoun. Hooker MacArthur starts, whilst young back Fergusson is amongst the substitutes. Everyone at Millbrae is very proud of Robbie's progress and will be crossing their fingers that he gets on and shows the Warriors crowd what he's capable of.
At 8pm UK time, Scotland will kick off against France in Paris for the last of their World Cup warm-up matches. Finn Russell and Mark Bennett start, with Gordon Reid on the bench.
Several of our youth teams are in action this weekend too, as is Ayr Ladies' Connie Griffiths, who will represent Scotland U19s at rugby 7s at the Sainsburys School Games. Ayr Ladies' 1st XV then get their season underway on Sunday, as they travel to Edinburgh to take on Watsonians.
