If it wasn't a great day on the pitch on Saturday, Ayr Ladies certainly made it a fun afternoon elsewhere as they hosted their first annual duck race to raise funds for the women's section at the club, and tempted Scotland international and British and Irish Lion Sean Maitland to get involved.
The Ladies were on hand at Millbrae all afternoon to sell home baking before clambering into the river to set the ducks free. The winners were John Dunlop, Robert White and Robert Fergusson.
